Review of The Unfaithful Widow Ten Years Later

Hi everyone! Today I am going to give you my review for this book as well as a giveaway. First off let me tell you about the blog tour and the book. And let's not forget the author Barbara Barth. Here goes:

WOW!

 WOMEN ON WRITING TOUR

OF

The Unfaithful Widow Ten Years Later

Tour Begins November 11th

Book Summary

Picking up where The Unfaithful Widow ended, Ten Years Later continues the author’s journey from widow to a slightly askew woman. A memoir written with warmth and candor on being single again, aging, and finding a creative path surrounded by dogs, friends, laughter, and a bit of craziness. Barbara Barth shares stories on the adventures that followed her first year alone as she moved headfirst into a new life, listening to her heart, sometimes not so wisely, but always full speed ahead. Join her on the ride of her life, from owning an antique shop to moving to a Victorian cottage outside of Atlanta, and all the follies in between. Going into the next decade with six dogs by her side, the author proves you are only as old as you feel, and happiness begins with a grateful heart. A funny and engaging memoir for anyone who wants to be their own superhero facing life’s good and bad moments.
Print Length: 374 pages
Genre: Memoir
Publisher: Amazon Digital Services, LLC
ASIN: B07YBNHXZG

The Unfaithful widow Ten Years Later is available in print and as an ebook at Amazon.com

About the Author, Barbara Barth
Author, blogger, sometimes antique dealer, dog hoarder, bedazzled by life. Widowed ten years ago, Barth writes about finding a creative path back to happiness. Her recent move to a 1906 historic cottage brought many surprises, including discovering the Monroe–Walton Center for the Arts where she started the monthly Walton Writers group and is on the MWCA Board as Literary Arts Chair. Barth is a contributor to Walton Living Magazine and a former blogger for The Balancing Act, Lifetime Television’s morning show for women. Currently she lives with six dogs, rescue dogs that rescued her.

Bully Lists and Fake Awards: High School In The Book World

I have seen several bully lists aimed at author's, readers, and others in the book world. It's a shame that people have nothing better to do with their lives. It's things like bully Lists, fake awards to hurt others, and even spreading lies about others that make me want to just walk away for good.

Why must we act like we are still in high school? Why can't we be adults and be supportive of others. We are all working for the same cause here. It's not a battlefield on which we have to spew heartless words just to survive.

This post is aimed towards those certain fake awards that were recently created just to bash people in the book community. As an author ,reader, and supporter of my fellow authors, I thought it was only right to share the post about those awards. A lot of good that did me. It only landed me on those ignorant awards claiming I was trying to censor free speech.
The Facebook page responsible for the whole fiasco even went as far as to make a post on their page about me personally. I had only shared a post just like a lot of other people have. Nothing wrong with that unless you're a lowlife who only wants to bring others down.

I am not even sure what angers me the most. The Facebook page Book Awards For The Rest of Us has been very cruel to so many amazing author's and readers, including myself.
There was this list of bogus awards going around Facebook. I saw it on a friend's page. There were several authors I know on there and I know they are nothing like this troll was saying. So I shared this fake awards list and asked people on my friends list to report it. I felt it was the right thing to do.  (Boy was I wrong! If you aren't a troll, you can't post anything obviously.)

To make matters worse, they went on to make a new list. A purge list of all things. Are they planning to take out some of the people on their fake awards? Make sure they have no fans left at all? Who knows with these idiots?

It's pretty pathetic they are hiding behind the page and not facing the consequences of their actions. Hey, if sharing a bully list and trying to have it removed makes me a fascist, so be it. I do not condone any type of bullying or violence. If you have a problem with someone, take it up with them face to face. Don't be a keyboard warrior and hide behind a screen.
None of these people on those lists deserve to be treated like this.
So, what am I planning to do to help build up my fellow authors? I will be doing a series of posts about them and their books. So, if you are a true fan of author's and books be sure to stay tuned for those posts in the future.

I will not sit by while my fellow authors are treated unfairly. You best believe that I will be sticking up for my friends and even those on that list I don't know.
Until next time, please treat others with respect and kindness. Later Days my friends!

Review of Griffin

Today I want to share with you my review for Griffin bt Marie James. The first book I have read by this author, and it definitely won't be the last! I highly recommend this book to all my readers!
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were amazing and the storyline was great! I will definitely be getting more of these to read! An excellent book!

Stolen Moments

Stolen Moments
by Susan Meachen
Erotic Contemporary Romance

A truly funny story about who I am and what I’ve done to my life.

Most women hate me because of who I am. You can call me a lot of things except, ordinary. See I’m no one’s mother and no man’s wife. I’m what everyone wants to be and that’s free. Being tied down to a relationship isn’t ever going to happen in my lifetime or so that's how the plan was supposed to go. Then he happened.

Stéphane Biggs. A sigh here and a moan there has quickly become the highlight of my month. Something about the man makes me dream wet and wish for something more. But we agreed from the start it’d be a little fun and nothing more. I need more.

Can a few stolen moments be turned into a lifetime of happiness, or am I better off leaving the suburban life to the soccer moms? Am I willing to let go of everything I have worked so hard to gain to be a wife, maybe a mother, or can I have it all?
.

(Stolen Moments © 2019 Meachen)

Life is all about those stolen moments in time! My name is Melanie James I’m the Public Relations Coordinator for one of the largest airlines in the world everything about my life looks perfect from the outside world hell it looks good from here also. There’s no husband, boyfriend, roommate, or child I have to answer to it’s me and my dream job. Work hard six days a week and party even harder seven days a week unless a recovery day is needed. Have a nightstand full of toys if I get extra lonely between fuck buddies but that’s never really been a problem. All my college friends have gotten married and/or had kids already. See them on rare occasions if they are in the corporate world at fundraisers or a cocktail party other than that it’s myself with a few friends I’ve made in my climb up the corporate ladder at Silvers Airline. One such friend just happens to be the attorney for the corporation, and he’s my newest fuck buddy and we are on the schedule to see each other this week which means he’ll be warming my bed for at least one night this week.
(Stolen Moments © 2019 Meachen)

Watching as he stands, he unbuttons his pants pushing them down mid-thigh before he sits back down on the sofa beside me and pulls me onto his lap.  Adjusting my position slowly lowering myself onto his massive cock each inch that slides in is almost enough to make me explode. Pacing my movements as I want this to be burned into my memory bank for the rest of my life. When the last inch slips in I clench my inner muscles just to hear him moan. Sitting perfectly still I savior the moment before his hands clamp onto my hips and he guides me to move up and down his dick, on every downward thrust, I rotate my hips a bit forward to hit that perfect spot inside. Just as I’m certain we both are going to explode from the ride he’s getting he pushes me from his lap. When he doesn’t bark out any commands I bend over the arm of the sofa as he fucks me from behind and as he holds onto my breast where he pinches the nipple between his finger and thumb the sound of his balls smacking my thighs is enough to send me spiraling out into my release. A few minutes later I hear him mumble my names as he rams hard into me as he lets go and empties himself in me. The warmth of his cum sends small waves of pleasure through me. Slouching across the arm of the sofa I slowly regain my breath. Oh, that so gave him a better chance at getting me to let him back into my bed. It’s wasn’t as rough as I’d like to play nor did it have any kink added to it but it was a solid good fuck.  He has potential to be a great fuck buddy with a bit of suggestion here and there. As he lifts his self-up off my back, he fastens his trousers and drops his shirt across the sofa. Listening to him straightening himself I wonder how much of a player he really is?
(Stolen Moments © 2019 Meachen)

Hearing a commotion outside my office door has me turning from my view to see Stéphane Biggs standing in my doorway with poor little Mary standing behind him.
“Sorry, Ms. James but he just stormed right past me even when I told him you were on a phone call.”
“Aden let me call you back later seems there’s some business here that can’t wait.”
“It’s fine Mary why don’t you go ahead go to lunch and can you bring me a Greek salad back please?”
“Mary no need to pick Ms. James lunch up we’re going to have a working lunch today.”
Mary stands stock still not moving one way or another. Even though I’m her boss in every manner it seems Mr. Biggs even has a bit of power over her.
“Mary it’s fine just go ahead. If need be, we can order something later.”
“Now Mr. Biggs what is so important you needed to interrupt a business phone call and scare the hell out of my sectary?”
“Melanie you’ve been ignoring me for days now you even moved out of the hotel in California without a word to anyone. I understand we agreed to split ways but also thought we’d agreed to do it after the trip. How do you think it made me feel Friday night when my date for the party slipped away with another man?”
“First what or when I do things has no bearing on you or anyone else as there’s no ring on my finger from anyone other than myself. How dare you stand in my office lecturing me on what was done in California when you sir have a woman hid away in your home. That I’m certain has no clue who or what you are. For sure she has no clue that you’ve been fucking me for months right under her nose and you care so little for either of us that you kept it a secret.”
Watching as the color drains from his face lets me know for certain my words and my suspensions were dead on. That’s how I can say without a doubt no man will ever have that much control over me ever again. He has proven that all men are all about their pleasure and be dammed what the woman feels or wants.  Before I have time to react or think of what to say next, he slams the door to my office hard enough to shake the pictures on my desk. When he turns back towards me his beautiful brown eyes aren’t full of mischief, they are brown almost black orbs filled with fury in them.
“Ms. James how do you know about Megan and who the hell have you been talking to?” When he hisses his warning to me, I step back as if he may hit me. “Listen to me you are never allowed to say her name and you need to keep whatever information you have gained to your damn self or I’ll make you wish we’d never met. Are we clear here?”

Review of Bloody Coffee

Hi guys! Today I am sharing with you about a book that I was excited to read. Bloody Coffee by Michelle Dim-St Pierre. First I'll tell you about the book and then I'll share my review of the book

A complex, suspenseful, and engrossing tale of doubts, trust, budding romance, and two bullets.

Eighteen-year-old Leigh arrives at a Tel Aviv hospital, seeking information about her probable father, Dr. Sloan, who had a cardiac arrest right after they met for the first time. As she stands next to her father's bed and watches him, her past, present and future collide. Despite the advice of those around her, Leigh decides to face the challenges of the legal system in Israel. She obtains a court order for a paternity test and confronts Sloan. During her quest to find the truth about her biological father, Leigh is exposed to violent religious intolerance, faces life in a country where church and state are not separate, and meets the man who may be her first true love. Will she change her view of the world she thought she knew? Will she forgive her mother? Will a gunshot change her attitude towards her probable father? And, what will she say to Steve, the only father she ever really had?

About the Author:

Michelle Dim-St. Pierre was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where she spent more than half of her life before relocating to the United States.

She lived through four wars and served in the Israel Defense Forces for two years. Unlike her first year of service in an armored division in the Golan Heights, she served her second year serving in the medical corps where she interacted directly with the injured soldiers of the Peace of Galilee war and their families. This interaction, along with the exposure to the hospital atmosphere, fascinated Michelle and further touched her heart.  She went on to get a BS degree in Nursing in Tel-Aviv, and practiced internationally for 32 years in various positions in the surgical field and quickly advanced into health care administration. During her career she worked in the Operating Room, Recovery Room, and CCU—along with many other duties.

Writing was Michelle’s outlet at first, but it soon became her passion. Now, she is a full-time writer. Her international background, along with her military and nursing experience is always at the tip of her pen. Her
first novel, Pinnacle Lust, started the Pinnacle trilogy and won the Beach Book Festival in the Romance category, as well as received several honorable mentions in other book contests. It was published to rave reviews.

Michelle is a world traveler who enjoys cooking epicurean food and creating original recipes. She currently splits her time between Florida and Georgia, where she is at work on her next two books.

And now for my review:

Bloody Coffee by Michelle Dim-St Pierre was an amazing book! It was a gripping, suspenseful tale. I was hooked from the first line. The story never let's up with the thrilling action! Don't miss this terrific book! It's a definite five star read!!!

Authors and their readers

Today I want to talk to you about authors and their readers. As an author I appreciate all of my readers. I for one am very glad they like my work and share it with their friends. As a reader I love sharing my favorite authors with anyone who will listen to me.
So, you're probably thinking, where is she going with this post? I think something needs to be said about certain people treating others bad for sharing an author's books and not being on that author's street team.
That's no way for authors to get fans. If you have fans who are out to make people feel bad, then you need new fans. If people who are on your street team want to make other readers feel that they should stop sharing books all together, they are not doing their job as a street team member. If they were really willing to be on your street team they would be happy and excited to have others share your work.  That's the whole point of a street team.
To have someone so upset that they want to walk away from the book world, that's just bullying. It's ridiculous and uncalled for.
As authors we need to face the facts. In this day and age we need all the help we can get to sell our books. Don't let anyone on your street team be manipulative or mean to your fans, or those who want to be your fans.
As an author it makes me ashamed to be a part of the book world that let's our readers be treated this way. It's times like this that I want to walk away from it myself.
Treat others with respect and make sure your street team does the same!!! If not, you could possibly lose a lot of readers.

And now on to our guest of honor. With her advice on research I give you the amazing Linda Lee Kane:

Research
If you’re writing what you know or pursuing a different passion, research is a critical tool for developing the world of your novel. What you learn during your in-depth study allows you to engage your reader in your setting. It will help you in developing your characters, the novel’s moral gray area, and even the fundamental conflict of your story.
For those with new topics, the preliminary stage of research is generally exploratory and involves reading anything that interests you. As you delve deeper, you will find your research becoming more focused. You will begin asking questions about particular locations, histories, or scenarios that involve your subject matter.
At some point in your research will be necessary to reach out to others. Discuss information with an expert their expertise about their interests which can offer perspectives that you will not find in books. Their enthusiasm and authenticity about the subject will come through in your writing. It could also give you an idea for characters in your novel. Please do not expect that a specialist will train you about their work. Make sure you have done research first and prepared thoughtful questions for your interview subject. It shows respect for their time and allows you to go deeper with them. You might meet some fascinating people.
If possible, visit locations that interest you. I wrote a book about the Central Valley in California. I drove up to Oakhurst and without any recording devices, pen, or paper I allowed myself to absorb the space and to feel what it’s like being there. Take mental notes of the things that strike you the most. The next day I went back for a second visit with my notebook and camera to collect as much information as possible so I could refer back to it.

I hope you enjoyed this special guest post. Until next time, Later Days and Happy Writing!!!!

What's Going On In My Writing World

The name of the blog is Cassandra's Writing World so today I am going to tell you what's going on in the world of my writing. There hasn't been much time for blogging, and that needs to be fixed I know.
So here's what's happening in my world:
 Anthologies

I am now working on stories for several anthologies. Some due between now and the beginning of May. All of these anthologies are for charities (which is something I am proud to help out with), except two. I will be working on more stories later in the year. Here are the ones I will be working on and the charities they are for.

Getting Lucky Anthology - Down Syndrome Research Foundation
At Death's Door - Submitting and hoping it gets accepted
Finding Forever - Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Spicing Up My Life - non kill animal shelter or disaster relief for animals
The Countrymen - will be published until december 31, 2019

Other than the anthologies that have kept me busy I am also working on The Hunt For Amanda. I got some great advice back from a beta reader and am having fun with it. One of her suggestions was adding a new scene and let me just say that I think her idea was brilliant! This story has been such a joy to work on and I am hoping to see it published later this year.
As far as my writing life goes I may catch a break sometime next year. I know it's my own fault for taking on so many writing projects, but hey I can't help it. (I'm a glutton for punishment 😉😏)

Now you know what's happening in my writing world, what's happening in yours? Feel free to let me know, I would love to hear all your exciting news. Until next time Happy Writing and Later Days!!!

When he gets left at the altar by a woman most men would kill to have, he finds himself more relieved than heartbroken. Things take another twisted little turn when he gets drunk the night of his non-wedding and makes a pass at his best friend, Chloe. She doesn’t shut him down.

Overall, he has plenty to occupy his troubled mind.

His mom is concerned he’s heading for a self-destruct of epic proportions. But all he can think about is tasting Chloe’s lips again, and getting her to agree to give them a shot as a couple. When a Nashville music producer starts hanging around Renegades’ shows, it seems that things are falling into place for the band.

But does he want success for the band if it means leaving Chloe behind? Can he walk away from the woman he loves? Or will he sacrifice the Renegades’ dreams to keep his heart intact?
