From Phoenix Flames: A Collection of Short Stories

Today on the blog we are featuring the new collection of short stories by the amazingly awesome Lena Winfrey Seder. From Phoenix To Ashes: A Collection Of Short Stories

From Phoenix Flames is a collection of mostly realistic fictional short stories that follow the struggles and awakening of various characters who evolve and rise from their drastic situations just like the phoenix that rises from the ashes to be reborn. A couple of humorous and paranormal stories lighten the seriousness of these dramatic tales.

These stories are meant to entertain as well as to educate about the growing problem of domestic violence. It is the hope that these characters and their stories can stimulate dialogue that will search for solutions while encouraging those in need to get help.

There are 11 stories in this collection. Some highlights are:

Taking Care of Business: Telekinetic Dani seeks revenge after government experiments tortured her and ruined her teenage years.

Check out Lena's blog Pearldrops On The Page for a fun interview with her characters.

I am a huge fan of Lena's writing. Anyone who reads these stories will enjoy every second of it. Lena also writes poetry and has previously released other books as well.  Get your copy of From Phoenix To Flames right now. You will love every single word of every story!!!

Lena Winfrey Seder, an English Literature Master's graduate from VA Tech University, is a 'Jane' of all trades. In addition to being an author, she was a former teacher. She also is a world traveler; she has lived in Africa and the Middle East. She has visited parts of Asia, like Malaysia, as well as Europe, particularly Italy. Lastly, her most important job is being the mother to four amazing children (three boys and one girl).

She enjoys learning languages, writing, reading and martial arts. Filmmaking is her passion, and she has worked on some short independent movies with a local Orlando group as a script supervisor.

Lena does not like to be held to one genre or style. She writes both fiction and non-fiction. She also writes poetry, short stories, novels and screenplays. She used to do some newspaper reporting, too.

She has been a resident of Florida, where she has enjoyed the sun and fun while doing some volunteer work at her kids' school. Currently, her life is taking her on more adventures with her family. She has been increasingly involved in women's and children's issues.

Recently, Lena published a collection of short stories, From Phoenix Flames that are mostly realistic fiction with a touch of paranormal and humor.

She has published the ebook Evolution or Revolution, a humorous science fiction short story, and she is the author of the autobiography The Metamorphosis of a Muslim, which covers her spiritual quest and details her world travels.

Lena is currently working on two paranormal novels (one is developing into a trilogy)and a screenplay drama as well as a poetry collection.

In the future, Lena hopes to be involved more in social causes close to her heart as well as fulfill her passion for filmmaking.

She has a blog on BlogSpot called "Pearldrops on the Page."
