Camp NaNoWriMo 2023

What has been happening in my writing world? I decided to give Camp NaNoWriMo a shot and get my story finished for the holiday anthology. I am loving how the story is coming along so far. I set my word count goal for 15K. I am currently at almost 6K.

How about a little info. about the story...

My story is called Christmas Prey. We can write any genre as long as it is set during the holidays, so of course mine is crime fiction. Kenna Donovan decides to stay home while her parents go to a party and her brother is out with friends. She later regrets that decision when an intruder has her trapped in her own home with no way out.

The story isn't due until October but I will definitely have it finished by then. I am also working on The Blakes series.  I will update ya'll on my writing again soon. Take care and Happy Writing!!!!

Book Reviews 2023 Part Two

Once again I am just the teensiest bit behind posting reviews. So here goes the last five books I have read:

Book Seven

A Bargain For Francis by Russell Hoban

I have always loved this book! A terrific story for kids of all ages!!

And next up is book eight of the year:

The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger

This was a really good story. I enjoyed reading this book.

Now we have book nine:

Davin by Tina Hogan Grant

An excellent prequel to an amazing series! I loved finding out how Davin and Sabela met. A quick read, but well worth it!!!

Book ten of the year is:

Resolute Aim by Leslie Marshman

Bree Delgado is hiding a secret from her past. Now working for the Resolute Sheriff's department Bree is forced to work with Noah Reed. Bree takes her job seriously while Noah is a jokester. Can they two of them solve one of the biggest cases Resolute has ever seen? I loved this book so much! A page turner from the first sentence!!!

And finally book eleven:

Securing Abigail by Elizabella Baker

Another perfect installment in this series! Great characters and a terrific story. Throw in a couple of surprise twists and you can't go wrong. Hollywood and Abby's story is a definite page-turner. I loved everything about this book!

Until next time...

Happy Reading!!!
